The phenomenal piano duo of the Hyuk brothers and Hyo Lee returns to the Music Gardens! During the finale of last year’s edition of the festival, the young Koreans proved that they feel perfectly at home in the classical virtuoso repertoire, as well as in the styles of Astor Piazzolla or George Gershwin. The recital program is a surprise, but the final movement of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, arranged for two pianos, is sure to be heard! Hyuk, the elder of the Lee brothers, is remembered by Polish audiences as a finalist in the last Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition in 2021. A year later, he won first prize at the prestigious Marguerite Long and Jacques Thibaud competition in Paris. He will come to the Warsaw concert straight from his debut recital at the “French Proms,” the French Radio Festival in Montpellier.
