Hayato Sumino – A Pianist of a New Era to Perform in Warsaw!
A virtuoso pianist, Chopin Competition semi-finalist, YouTube star, and new-generation idol – Hayato Sumino returns to Warsaw for the first time since 2021 with a remarkable recital. This is a concert not to be missed!
The Japanese pianist, also known as “Cateen,” blends classical repertoire with improvisation and a modern approach, winning the hearts of both classical music lovers and younger audiences. His interpretations are full of freshness, expression, and technical perfection. His performance at the 25th Music Gardens Festival will be his first concert in the capital since his memorable appearance at the 18th Chopin Competition in 2021.
Since then, Sumino has performed with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In the summer of 2024, he appeared at major European festivals, including the Rheingau Musik Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, and the Ravinia Festival in the USA.
The artist records exclusively for Sony Classical, and his YouTube channel “Cateen” is followed by over 1.4 million fans. Sumino represents a synthesis of tradition and innovation – his concerts are filled with energy, creativity, and passion.
